Happy Anniversary to Us

Twelve years is good. Pretty good I think. I'm so lucky that I love my husband the way I do and I'm incredibly blessed that he loves me the way he does. Of course we started off our anniversary week with an argument. We don't argue much, but it happens and Sunday sucked. Monday was our actual anniversary and my sweet husband surprised me with beautiful roses. Absolutely gorgeous. 

And then I made an instagram collage celebrating us, the roses and Groundhog's Day (the day of our anniversary).

Rumor's Holiday Party - James Bond

I'm not even kidding, I love dressing up. Whether it's a costume party or just a night out, I plan my outfit, hair, makeup weeks in advance. Mark's holiday party was no exception. Julie decided to make a James Bond theme which was perfect! I was going to buy a glam gown, but then I remembered I have a dress that was my Grandmother's from the 60's. And that did it, I now know I was going to be a 60's Bond Girl, Portman Fraise (I made that name up.)

 The selfie mirror doesn't do my Nana's dress justice. It's so pretty and elegant, I love it!

My beehive hair was crazy to do, but turned out pretty good. Thank you You Tube hair tutorials! BTW, Mark thought I was crazy as I was watching them. 

Oh Mr. Yori, you look so handsome! 

So sometimes you get to capture little moments, snippets of life on a camera that aren't posed. This was one of them. The picture isn't perfect, but my husband is laughing and smiling and I am too just by looking at his beautiful face. I love this. Seriously, this picture makes my heart BURST! He's my partner in crime, the one I lay next to every night, the one I share my babies with, he's my everything. And in this picture he is happy and that makes me happy. I love this guy so much and I am the luckiest lady in all the land.

We had a fabulous time. Just smashing.

I love road trips with my boo and one that takes us to Sedona to celebrate Mr. Flahart's birthday . . .

Well, sign me up! 

Renee' found this amazing place called the Butterfly Garden, 

just outside of Sedona, a bit past Slide Rock. 

Mark and I had a small cabin to ourselves and 

three other couples stayed in a bigger cabin right next to us.  

It was perfect weather and perfect company. 

We couldn't have asked for a better weekend away. 

He always makes a silly face! 

In the pines - sunshine and a cool breeze. 

Fashion was not a priority for the boys this weekend. 

Every morning, hanging from a hook outside on our patio, was a breakfast basket. Yum and so stinkin' cute!

I do know an alarm was activated and some weird posing happened outside on the sign for the resort.

That's all I'm going to say about that!

Happy Birthday to Mark! My husband and my Nana share the same b-day, so in the am, we as a small fam had breakfast at our favorite spot, The Coffee Shop. In the pm, we headed over to my uncle Marc's house for dinner and swimming. (Post to follow.)

San Fran & Seven Years Ago . . .

Hello, San Francisco!

Have you ever been . . . if not, it's a must! It's a fabulous city and it has some of my most favorite people in the world! 

The Tidyman's! 

This wasn't just a spur of the moment trip (who am I kidding, nothing is spur of the moment anymore!), we were celebrating! 

Mark and I were celebrating our SEVEN year anniversary.

We are so lucky to have these amazing friends who opened up their amazing home to us, allowing Mark and I could spend a romantic weekend together. 

Us . . . Seven years together, pledged for a lifetime. 

There is no one else I could, or would want to, do this with. 

You are my stronger, better half 

and 

I am eternally thankful and blessed 

to be with you each and every day.

First night in town, seafood at Yabbies. Just a big ole' bucket of goodness!

Friday and Saturday, Mark and I explored. Lots of coffee and food, we also visited an aquarium.

We're not big on touristy locals, 

we like to dig into a city . . . wander . . . and discover on our own . . . 

find little areas that fit us. 

So much fun!

Saturday night, dinner with Saguaro High School friends. I have three of them now living in the San Francisco area!

Thanks to Steven and Paul, who hosted, a wonderful night full of fun and laughter. And great food! 

I don't have as many pictures as I should . . . sometimes I'm having so much fun, I forget to take my camera out! But you'll have to take my word for it, I had a great time and I love, love, love my fantastic friends for putting us up and showing us such a great time! 

And thank you to my husband for loving me how you do . . . you do it perfectly!
