Lunch with my favorite girls!

I had lunch with some of my favorite people the other day - my sissy, my cousin and their two daughters, along with my little girl.  Ra was our choice and we sure did tear it up for a Saturday at noon!

I had to post pictures of my sister's parallel parking job. Granted she did it because I was way too freaked out to, but holy cow! You could fit a Prius next to my car with how far she is away from the curb! :) I made her pull in the driver's side mirror so it wouldn't get clipped from a passing car on Scottsdale road! :) Love you, Megs!

Oh these little girls . . . T-R-O-U-B-L-E!
Mmmm . . .  sushi!

Somehow I don't think this will be the last time these three will be clinking glasses!
Yep, all my favs on on park bench. My heart is full!

Girlie Sleepover with the Second Generation

Shauna had the most fabulous idea - to have a girlie sleepover with our babies!
So Shauna and Isabella, Meggy and Ava, joined Ella and I at our house for pizza, chocolate fondue, makeup, dress up, dancing and posing . . . oh there was so much posing!

These little ones are so different, all with their own personalities; they really can hold their own.
Strong and confident, sweet and sassy. We had a great time.
It's now a annual event - one I will look forward to all year!

Here they are dressed up in their favorite dresses.

Ella loves chocolate!

Bella is the BEST model, ever!!!

Ella taking cues from Bella!

Little Beans! She goes to the beat of her own drummer - she is quirky and sweet!
I love her so.

This is just one of the MANY pictures of these girls posing. HA! They are fab!
I wish you could see their shimmering faces - they really love make up!

Here's to all those girlie girls out there . . . as much as I love the make up and dress up,
the time we had together was even more amazing!
I love being with these fantastic women/girls! Love you!

Family Photos with Daddy

My Dad wanted to get some pics with Meggy and I and the munchkins. I found Trevor through a friend of mine. Trev was awesome with kids, even though the morning of our pictures, it was the HOTTEST, MOST HUMID day of the year! Holy crap! We were all sweating like pigs! We had a lot of fun though and I was super happy with the pictures! And I got to keep all of them! I never get that! :) Yeah!

Girls Vacation

So one Friday in July, I hopped on a plane to go here . . .

To eat some of this . . .

. . . and some of this . . .

. . . while looking at this!

I also got to go shopping here . . .

You may be asking yourself why did Lizzie get to go, eat and shop at all these places? Find your answer below . . .

Twenty-eight years ago, a wonderful set of grandparents (my Nana and Papa) decided to treat their three daughters to a girls vacation - a vacation just for the girls. No husbands and no kids! These three sisters were April (my Aunt), Gayle (my Mom) and Kim (my Aunt). This tradition has carried on year after year, mostly in California, but has taken the three sisters and their mom as far as New York and Europe!

In more recent years, the children of these three sisters are now wives and mothers, and the tradition has grown to include these daughters and nieces. This was my first girls vacation! Along with my sister and cousin, I flew out to California to meet my other cousin, who flew in from Chicago, to see my mom, my aunt and my Nana. We had a fabulous time! We ate, drank, talked, laughed - and I only had to take care of myself all weekend!

As much fun as we had, visiting all these fabulous places, the best times were spent in our hotel room, talking and laughing about boys and family and friends. I am so blessed to have my husband and my two kids, but my life is even fuller than most because of the relationships I have with my grandmother, my aunts and cousins and especially my mom and sister. I know so many fantastic, smart, beautiful women! What a treat this vacation truly was to spend time with them!

SEDONA!
We left Flagstaff early so Mark and I decided to take a small detour to Sedona, and we ended up staying for the entire day! Sedona is a really magical place which Mark and I both adore, so it was fun be there with the kids. Here's some pics of our fun time . . .
